At the heart of every human being is a God-shaped vacuum. A void that can only be filled by the God who created us. Churches around the world are filled with people shouting "how I can find God." And if God is fully aware of us down to the smallest detail of our lives, for a variety of reasons, many can not seem to "find".
Depending on others to help find a God is bound to be a futile undertaking. This is because God is not lost. In fact, if our spiritual eyes were opened, we would find that God surrounds us every moment of every day, waiting for us to invite him into our lives. Contrary to what many churches teach, and what many people mistakenly believe that God is sovereign in our lives if we do not want it, and make it known to him that we do.
In the third chapter of Revelation verse 20, Jesus said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me. "
Finding God is Easy
Something amazing that He who created all things, including us, are making an invitation. Obviously, if he is standing at the door of your heart, you do not have to go looking for him. If God is calling you, then it should be until we open the door to let him in. The problem with the request, "How I can find God", is actually, nobody can help you find him because he is always there with you.
Finding God is easy, learning how it is different. As in any relationship, the only way to get to know someone is to spend time with them. And there is a prerequisite that God has to get to know him, God said, "You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:13
God wants us to know about Him. He has fully revealed himself through Jesus Christ. Jesus said: "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father." All you need to know about how God revealed through Jesus. If you really want God in your life, get to know Jesus. As He said, He stands at the door of your heart and knocks. All you have to do is talk to Him in prayer, He will do the rest.
Note, as in any relationship, it will take time for you to get to know him. But if you are faithful to seek above all to get to know, surely reveal to you, and you never have to say, "Help me to find God."
